The mapping started with a compilation of past projects, terms and influences spanning from high school, through an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture and finishing with a master’s degree in architecture. The collection included past landscape paintings, terminology, associated woods, studio projects, influential artists and photographs of places traveled to. Then began a process of comparison by analyzing the differences, similarities, and transformations of representational style and vocabulary throughout post secondary education. Examining points of emphasis, missing information, methods and biases that influenced the way students think, write and design.
