In the Latest years many areas of the world are captured using digital tools; 3D google maps. VR experiences. games. and digital scans and models. Those Locations are usually chosen due to their significance in history and society. The White Room takes those Lesser known places. places of great significance to specific individuals or places not digitally accessible and creates simple memory models with emphasis on key elements using drawing tools. The purpose is to digitize “architectural memory” without the tools of references or high-end modelling software.
The game is presented with premade Levels/models. The white volumes are the constants that cannot be edited or removed. Their purpose is to create the scenario/scene. The original drawings however could be edited. The Locations play a significant role in creating a ‘memory file’ to be preserved. The models create imaginary scenery taken from our memories rather than from existing references. The “about” information of each of the models talks shortly of the Location. site significance. human users and non human users. This provides the player with a guide if they decide to edit the model following a purpose. The users are allowed to submit their own models of their ‘sacred’ Locations to be added to the game. The users can also choose a blank Level which has no geometries and make original works.
The White Room acts as a memorial for those sacred locations we seek to remember and share.
